WORKING SMART---- THE SUREST MEANS TO A DESIRED END

It is not new to hear someone advice another to work smarter, not just harder .Many have been motivated one way or the other to work hard and put food on their table and pay their bills but at the end, they see themselves become miserable. Why? Sadly, they worked hard without achieving success at all. They were not smart workers.

To me working hard does not mean doing hard work, else all would be truck pushers. I have never pushed a truck though, but i figure out that with the heavy load they place on trucks and push, their backs must tell the story every now and then.

Its good for all to know that the same amount of time in a day(24hours) is the same number of hours the rich, the poor and everyone else else has . So rather than thinking of doing hard work to get you success, work hard by working smart on the right things.

To work smart, you need to know when to take time and focus yourself on acquiring and implementing new important knowledge that can bring out the potential in you and make you find success in your life.

Smart work requires that you be more efficient and productive as to complete a task in a few hours that would have needed more hours.Smart work means there is likelihood of you reaching your goal. Working smart is when you do the right thing, because so few people do it. The most successful people know the right thing to do. Then we can say, they have worked hard. They did more and more of the right thing.

For many of my readers including me who want to work hard and smart on doing the right things, here are a few suggestions to help motivate and support you :

i) Get creative
ii) Be a good time manager
iii) Know what you want and be in the right field
iv) select the right opportunity , go for scarce or rare resources which has high market demand
v) You will meet with discouragement, pass along, see the long-term perspective
vi) Think smart before acting
vii)Focus on creating, delivering and capturing value
viii) Be Innovating
ix) Be bold never afraid to make a mistake
x) Be in control
xi) Consider your limiting factors
xii) Relate with the people on top in your field whom you can learn from
xiii) Build on your strengths
xiv) Give back to the community
xv) Focus on completing the most important things instead of completing most tasks
xvi)Do not narrow your skill, evolve with the changing times

According to Bryon Dorgan, "Working hard and Working smart sometimes can be two different things."
On the one hand, those that work hard usually evaluate their success based on their work input and expect a large paycheck. But on the otherhand, those that work smart usually evaluate success based on the amount of time they have to do whatever it is they want to do. They do not focus on inputs, rather they focus on prioritizing their time and activities so as to realize the most valuable outputs in the most efficient ways.

Smart workers are entrepreneurs, they know their strengths and where they are weak and are good time managers .
As we journey through life, most people like to take too many things, they like to do so many things in the name of working hard, please, lets think smart and see how instead of addition to what we do(which we may not give our best), use that one you do to make a multiplication.

You cant do everything. But if you have no limit and believe you can take all, remember to work smart also, then we can say you have worked hard.
