نقص فيتامين د / Vitamin D deficiency

نقص فيتامين د يظهر على شكل الكساح لدى الأطفال، وعلى شكل ترقّق العظام لدى البالغين، وقد يؤدي إلى حدوث هشاشة العظام وكسور فيها. ويرتبط نقص فيتامين د بشكلٍ كبيرٍ مع ارتفاع نسبة الإصابة بالسّرطان، وأمراض المناعة الذاتية ، وارتفاع ضغط الدّم ، والأمراض المعدية. وإنّ عدم تناول كمياتٍ كافيةٍ من فيتامين د أمرٌ منتشرٌ حول العالم بغض النظر عن العمر، والحالة الصحية، كما يرتبط نقص فيتامين د بحدوث نقصٍ في امتصاص وأيض الكالسيوم
