Malunggay :super vegetable?
I wanna write about this super food called "malunggay" or the Moringa oleifera or what's commonly called horseradish.
One it's heavy on essential vitamins that when we had dengue or hemorrhagic fever or any illness for that matter our mother would force it down our throat
When we have a cut our grandmother would get it's fresh leaves and extract it's juice to apply to our wounds as antiseptic.
Rich are the documents that support the potency of this plant for many ailments that nowadays it's being powderized and added to ice creams and pastry other than its ordinary use as vegetable to a boiled fish, chicken or pork recipe. This is great news for mothers who had trouble feeding their young ones. They can just buy the powdered form and creatively incorporate it to kids favorite foods.
As an add on to any soup it's said to be good for pregnant women and lactating mothers with its rich source of iron. I like it like that and I like it as a tea also
Cosmetic industry has jumped into the bandwagon to by processing into essential oils for nail ,skin and hair treatment. When we were kids the fresh juice was rubbed into our scalp to fight off dandruff.
This super food is easy to plant. Just get a matured bark and just push it down to a fertile ground. No need to regular water as its resistant to drought too bad though it only grows in the tropics.
So I am encouraging everyone to have ur malunggay serving as often as you can to avoid constipation with its rich fiber and yeah to have that pink glowing skin and healthy strong hair too at no cost to you
I love malunggay!
