Moonbow you say? Sounds like something out of a Fantasy world. right? The Au team thought so also... Well believe or not this mind blowing experience is an E.T.P = Earthbound Terrestrial Phenomenon (Made it up Myself)

So what is a Moonbow and how rare are they? Well there are several things that must take place for the recipe to be right for a Moonbow.

#1 The sky must be clear and dark... to be more specific very very dark.!

#2 The Moon must be full, and low on the horizon (no more than 42º above the skyline to be exact).

#3 You must have a source of water.

So with that said take a bottle of water out at night, and throw the water above your head while blowing "Breath Vapor" out of your mouth... WAIT... Scratch that I have a better idea...

You might do better going to a place with lots of rain, or mist from a waterfall. YES THAT'S IT A WATERFALL!!! Yeah a waterfall should work perfectly for our Moonbow Recipe.

Now having all of these things together you are ready for your first moonbow. Whew! Seeing all of the ingredients that go into making a Moonbow, it is really no surprise that Moonbows are a rarity.

If you are a good enough Chef to put this together you will get to taste a rare dish that 99% of the world has never tasted. It is honestly Magical and Heavenly... It can almost look whitish to the human eye but can be seen with colors depending on the how well the lighting is under the Full Moon. Colors can be seen a lot better if you use a Tripod, Camera, and a Long Exposure.

For Photographing the Moonbow -

#1 A good sturdy tripod is a must.

#2 Set Camera to manual

#3 Then put on F4 Aperture for a 4 minute long exposure.

#5 ISO at your discretion. I use 800 or higher

#6 Practice a few shots and adjust until satisfied

Although this is rare, you can find Moonbows more frequently in certain locations around the World. These locations most always have waterfalls that generate layers of mist in the air. The best locations include Cumberland Falls in Kentucky, Yosemite National Park in California, Victoria Falls between Zambia and Zimbabwe in Africa, Waimea in Hawaii, and Plitvice Lakes in Croatia.
