Moscow and Beijing will study the moon together
"Roskosmos" and the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSC) signed an agreement on intentions for cooperation in the field of exploration of the moon and deep space. The parties also agreed to establish a Data Center on lunar projects. This happened in the framework of the International Forum on Space Exploration (ISEF), held in Tokyo, Tass learned from Roskosmos. The general director of the state corporation Roskosmos Igor Komarov and the deputy head of the Chinese national space administration Y Yanhua put their signatures under the document .
"The parties expressed their readiness to consider the possibility of cooperation in the implementation of the Russian mission to launch the orbiting spacecraft Luna-Resurs-1 (Luna-26) in 2022, as well as the planned Chinese mission for landing in the region of the southern pole of the Moon in 2023, - told in the state corporation.
In November 2017, within the framework of the 22nd meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China, Roskosmos and KSCA state corporation signed a program of cooperation in the space field for 2018-2022.
