Thank to the world

The Thanks To The World monument is a monument located in Blang Padang Square, Banda Aceh. This monument was built as an Acehnese gratitude to the countries that helped post tsunami tragedy.
After the tsunami disaster hit the Veranda of Mecca in 2004, the government at that time was very keen in the construction of monuments, monuments and historical sites that aims to commemorate the heartbreaking events. The Thanks To The World monument is not the only historical building in Blang Padang Square. There are still several sites that can be visited by tourists such as the replica of the Dakota Aircraft RI-001 Seulawah, as well as the Tsunami Warning Monument. The Charm of the Monument Thanks To The World

When tourists arrive at the tourist site, will be seen 5 pieces of buildings that are formed to resemble wave waves. On the floor in front of the building, there is a kind of inscription called the Walk of Frame Tsunami. The inscription on the floor contains about tsunami related issues such as the length of damaged roads, the number of bridges destroyed, the dead and missing, and hundreds of thousands of people who lost their places.

Not far from the monument shaped like a wave of this wave, there are also some plaques that can be found tourists along the jogging track. A total of 53 placards were made, shaped like half of a sinking ship as a gratitude and a message of peace to 53 countries that helped Aceh after the devastating earthquake and tsunami.
