The Ukrainian Centennial Pioneer Monument
In the Spring I visited Alberta Legislature Grounds. There are some many monuments and I chose this one for today.

This monument commemorates the arrival in 1891 of the first Ukrainian settlers in Canada. It pays tribute to the stalwart sons and daughters of the soil who, through patient industry and steadfast courage, overcame physical hardships and adversity to transform the vastness of the prairie into productive farmland. In helping to unleash the economic potential of the Canadian west, Ukrainian pioneers not only contributed to the subsequent founding of the province of Alberta but bequeathed a proud legacy to them perseverance and self-sacrifice are an inspiration and a challenge to us all.

Hello friend, very good explanation about this monument, is vital because it is allusive to all immigrants who came to the lands of Canada, as they came to work in different areas of production, leaving their mark immortalized and the example that all united and with the decision of a better future we managed to make the land productive, in addition to forming self-sustainable municipalities. So honor to whom honor deserves, the province of Alberta is blessed to pay tribute and give in those monuments thanks to all those settlers who well deserve this honor, as always very good and interesting post, @cyclamen
