Monomad Balmain's sexy campaign
Obviously the 90s as stylists are coming back with full force. After seeing over-sized shirts, knitted hats, cubs and other clothes that are characteristic of the grunge decade in a number of galleries for this year, it's time for Balmain to give their mark on this styling. But quite sexy.
The Kara Delevin model reproduces the famous cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 1993 with a black and white photo of the half-naked Janet Jackson. And while Janet did not know who the men's hands were hiding her breasts, at Kara they were the creative designer of Balmain Olivier Rusten, who is seen in the picture.
"It reminds me of many album covers from the 1990s, which were phenomena of pop culture during my childhood," explains Rousten. "The naked pictures are a symbol of authenticity. We went back to the basics: I wanted to achieve something pure and clear," he says about the Balmain collection.
