I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't actually go anywhere but I've been away from Steemit lately, had to let y'all know you hadn't seen the last of me yet! Before my absence we seemed to have gotten a proper ruckus going, with Ned & Co and the Hard Fork of Doom talk getting people riled up. I come back and it appears there has been some changes. . . now to see whether it amounts to something or is just another case of putting lipstick on a pig.
Anyways, that's enough blathering about things I know less about than I should. This shot is from when I was just getting started with photography and beginning to dabble with stock photos. As my skills have improved I've become less impressed with the shot (ever look at some of your older stuff and wonder why you thought that was so good at the time?) but I still like it.
Since it's in black & white I might as well enter it into @monochromes #monomad contest, assuming they haven't added more rules on me...
This Ned thing is starting to remind me of politics and I am not into it, at all. I think I'll stick to photography, too :)
Beautiful picture! I have noticed that in stock photos they use a lot of photoshop to blur the background even more than it already is and give it a more impressive look. I haven't done it myself but I have thought to try it out.
Thanks! Stock photos are interesting, I still don't think I've quite got the hang of what sells and what doesn't yet. I've noticed that blurring too, although with this shot it's mostly due to low f stop.
Ah, politics...part of the reason I got involved with Steemit was to get away from all the politics on facebook but it looks like Steemit is trying to catch up. I just want to be able to shoot and post photos without having to worry that somebody is going to mess things up while I'm not looking.

Ned & Steem Alliance seemed to be doing something that will benefit the community. Hope to see them succeed on it
Thanks, it's nice to be back! I've got my fingers crossed, hopefully they succeed, I've come to be rather fond of Steemit.
