Macro Mondays - Stray Pine

I was out on the shores of lake superior (as usual) and I saw a green pine sitting in the sand. Certainly out of place as there was no greenery within at least 100 yards, this was the only green piece of nature on the entire beach that day. I didn't have my macro lens on me at the time so I took a cropped image of the original size, which made for a great close-up! I've provided the full picture below!

Up close it doesn't much look like pine at all! It reminds me of some kind of rubber brush. I think one of the hardest things about photography is consistently taking great pictures. I'm still learning, but it's relatively hard to meet the criteria for some of these contests. It really requires me to think outside the box. Just be looking at others entries, I see that there are a lot of great pictures that I probably overlook. Slowly but surely I am working on my photographers eye!

Thanks for stopping by! Steem on!

When I joined Steemit I made the decision to always Power-Up my earnings. For now, payouts are set to 50/50 but you bet I will convert & Power Up! Besides internal transfers, I have never cashed out and don't plan on it! Power-Up only!

Cool shot. I call it "the money shot" when I get a picture I'm happy with.

Thanks! Definitely the money shot! I've had a few of those lately. Loving my nikon!

You really do get some great shots. I just use my cell phone at this point lol. It takes some decent photo's though.

It's all about lighting -- if you have a decent phone, the right lighting will grant you great pictures! I'd say you do pretty good!

Fake it till you make it lol.

And thank you
