It is on negative yes. I was wondering about the twists too. It's not the lens as other pictures are barely skewed. I think it's just the way the trees are so everything looks like it's twisted.
I once had the same effect with my old Zenit, never could figure it out. Probably its the trick of the trees, cuz it also had trees on it
