For me the elongated shadows are often disturbing, I think that expressionism used that "technique"; but also your picture has that girl or boy away from the family in the middle of that backlight, as if the child were to be caught by the shadows ... or maybe I just have too much imagination? hehe, in any case it is a very good photo!
