The first clone monkey was born in China
Chinese scientists now give birth to the world's first cloned monkey. Scientists gave birth to two cloned monkeys in Zhang Zhong and Hua Hua laboratories a few weeks ago. In the late nineties, Scotland's zoologist gave birth to a cloned lamb of Dolly.
Quoting the statement of Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Neuroscience, Kyang Sun said: The specially cloned monkey will be utilized for long-tailing research and cure for various genetic defects including cancer, diabetes. These scientists will be the models of these diseases in the model. Now it is used for research purposes such as guinea pigs.In the case of Jhong Zhong and Hua Hua, the same method was used in clandestine cloned doli in Scotland. Jong Zhang was born 8 weeks before the cloned monkey. And Hua Hua was born 6 weeks ago
Both of the cloned monkeys are being breast fed in bottles. Like other common monkeys, they are growing naturally. Chinese researchers said that more such monkeys will be born through cloning in the next few months. Many of the scientists questioned the ethics of cloning to give birth to monkeys. They fear that through this the world is nearing the risk of cloning. Because monkeys are very close to animals in terms of genetic formation. Among those who brought the question of morality in this regard are the renowned scientist of Kent University Professor Darren Griffin.
