His 4th Wimbledon title, yesterday, helped Djokovic become the player with the fourth highest Grand Slams in tennis history (13).

He is only surpassed by Pete Sampras (14), his semi-final opponent Rafa Nadal (17) and Roger Federer (20).

His win has also helped the Serbian reach the tenth position in world rankings after he entered the competition being the 21st.

Maintaining the form
As of July 2018, Djokovic has held the number 1 ATP rank for the longest time in 2010s. He has been numero uno for a staggering 223 weeks. Nadal trails behind him with a hold on the first rank for a period of 134 weeks.

Best of his country
Novak Djokovic is the first ever Serbian to be ranked number 1 and also the first Serbian male tennis player to win a singles Grand Slam title. Ana Ivanovic is his only fellow compatriot from Serbia, as she won the French Open in 2008.
