I think GS are laying the 'don't blame us' trail for the public.
The Fed will say 'we're data dependent' i.e. 'the data told me to do it'. I also think they'll ensure there's enough time between the rate hike and pulling the plug so that the majority of the public won't make the connection...and the media certainly won't join the dots for them. Remember the meme that went around re. 2008 crash that 'no one could have seen it coming'
Yeah and after 'no one could have seen it coming' was, 'we saved the world'
