True Liberty Podcast: Episode 5 – What Is Money And Where Does It Come From?
In this video, we explore some fundamental questions about money. First, we ask the seemingly obvious but seldom asked question, “What is Money?” and consider some of the materials used as money throughout history, as well as some of the qualities that make a substance useful as money, and the critical point that money is a technology that humans invented and employ to solve problems rather than an essential or natural part of life.
Next we investigate the question “Where does Money Come From?” and discuss some of the historical forms of money once again, and finally elaborate on the modern systems of central banking which create the fiat notes we use as money today.
