RE: ARE THE OLD WAYS THE BEST WAYS, WHEN IT COMES TO BEING OVERDRAWN AT THE BANK?????

Gonna have to disagree with ya there, bud. Because, well, human bias.
See, we have this odd problem as humans where we can never look at anything as it is.
We only percieve through the lens of our beliefs, and as such our biases warp the world you live in. As do mine.
However, if kept in mind, people can work together to find objective reference data points, in order to build a clearer picture. That's what science is all about, and that's why anecdotal evidence is moot.
There is a particular bias, nostalgia essentially, that has people looking into the past and viewing it as somehow "better."
This is just not true, in almost every argument.. almost.
We are living in the most abundant, most socially equitable, most peaceful time in history right now.
Really the only issue that is worsening is that of income inequality, which is particularly disgusting due to that whole MOST ABUNDANT TIME IN HISTORY bit. Sorry, i just have a touch of misanthropy today, in particular towards the ultra-wealthy.

Lets all learn to share our resources and stop buying into the idea that human value is extrapolated from labor, yeah? <3 <3

Really good post tho, brotherman, i just happen to disagree with the content.

Thank you for going to the trouble to write a thoughtful reply, and I have to agree that it is totally unfair that there is such inequality in wealth. I'm also inclined to agree that sometimes we look at our past with rose coloured spectacles. All the best.
