FAQ:

Q: Is this real money? Can I withdraw it to my bank?  

A: Yes! Each offer is different, but for a vast majority of these you can withdraw your money as soon as you get it. Unless they are marked otherwise (see Twisto, where it forces you to spend money with their card instead). 

Q: Why do companies give away this money?

A: Believe it or not, many companies spend upwards of $10-$20 or more to acquire just one customer with traditional advertisement spending. Referral marketing is a very popular choice, choosing to pay existing customers to share with their friends to create new customers. Even if you only use their service once, they're betting that if you need it again, you'll be back.

Q: Why do I have to verify/KYC/ID myself for these?

A: These companies would go immediately go bankrupt if they did not verify each person who attempted to cash in on their promotions. And many times, this is mandatory for legal/financial compliance reasons with 'know-your-customer(KYC)', anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism, and other such regulations.

Q: How do I know it is safe to give these companies my information?

A: By law, these companies must follow strict industry best-practices of security to ensure your information is safe. They face enormous fines or worse if they do not handle your information properly. They are, by law, just as safe as giving your information to your bank.

Q: Won't I get spammed by creating all these new accounts?

A: You can opt-out of communications at any time. Or use an alternate email address. Anti-spam laws have become much tougher recently, companies do not want to risk huge fines from disobeying GDPR regulations.
 

Q: How do I keep track of all these accounts?
