Methods of not spending money without control

If you are unable to maintain a fixed budget, spend more than you earn, or make purchases that ultimately prove futile, then you need some valuable advice.

There is a way to avoid unproductive spending: just think of your money as the hours of your life.

Here's how it works: Suppose you earn 10,000 euros a year for your full time job, 40 hours a week. Calculate your monthly after-tax income.

Add up all the costs associated with the job you have. This includes notable things like office attire, travel expenses, work lunches, and then calculate less visible daytime expenses such as kindergarten, housekeeping, and after-work activities.

Finally, calculate by deducting from your salary your monthly expenses, your work expenses, your family expenses and your overtime expenses.

If you calculate how much you spend on the job for 1 hour and how much you earn from it you will see a big difference. Therefore all the expense comes from unnecessary things outside of it.

Try to keep a budget for only the essentials after work and don't overdo them.
