₦100 Notes, why are they this bad?

I was at a shop the other day to do some shopping, then a customer came as well, he bought few things then went to the cashier to pay, only for the cashier to reject two of his ₦100 notes, and the guy asked the cashier 'shey I dey print money for my house?'.
Meaning: am I running a printing and minting business in my house?
I had to snap the money this man brought, it was so terrible, but I will not blame him because he'll not deliberately destroy the money.

I had another experience on my way home from the office, I boarded a bus from the office to my destination, a passenger gave the conductor money and the conductor gave her a balance of ₦100 note, but the woman rejected it immediately saying 'conductor change this bad money for me o' and the conductor's reply made the whole bus burst into laughter, he said 'madam manage the money o, shebi na ona vote for change and Buhari don change money for ona and ona still dey complain...
The note is not supposed to be a legal tender, because people are rejecting it, and acceptability is a great characteristics of money as a legal tender.
The 100 naira notes is a disgrace to Nigeria and Nigerian as a whole.
It's appearance is so useless that its value too is more useless.

Here in Lagos, you can't eat a meal with ₦100, it's so useless that taking bike from one street to another costs ₦100.

The first one was introduced by the last administration, but the later has been in use for s long time now.
But the new and old notes in circulation now is supposed to have been destroyed because of its appearance, very dirty, and hardly will you see anyone that hasn't torn or does not have cello-tape at one place or the other.
Instead of destroying, they are still in circulation. But at parties, one hardly find an old note being sprayed on the dancing floor
The following reasons might be the cause of such, and the banks are mainly behind it all

• the banks prefers selling new notes to black markets because of the profits they will make rather than exchange with a genuine customer who needs it for one transaction or the other. Then people going to the party will go and buy from black market and pay on every thousand or five thousand naira they exchange.
• Banks are guilty of putting old/bad notes in the ATM machines and withdrawal on the counter for customers instead of giving out new notes and collecting the old ones for destruction, they'll rather leave them in the market for circulation.
• Mishandling of the various denominations by people, inscription on the notes, deliberately tearing the money. I was also involved in this while growing up, we'll sign or tear the edge of notes before spending it and wait if the money will come back to us after it has undergone different transactions by different people and most have gone from one place to the other.
  Then we'll be watching any money that comes to us closely to see if that particular money will come to us.

ways handling the currency

• One should always handle money irrespective of the amount carefully, even as rough as some bus conductors are they still take their time to arrange their monies no matter how hard or tedious their work is.
• we should try to get a wallet and always place money inside neatly.
• penalty should be in place for anyone who is defacing or inscribing or destroying the naira notes.
  This note is particularly bad in almost every part of the country and CBN or government are not saying or doing anything to correct it. Instead they leave it still in circulation for the masses to still be using and they are making people quarrel over the notes unnecessarily
