10 Ways to Make Money Online.

At first, the thought of making money online seems like a fallacy, however, there are many legitimate ways to earn money online. You may be familiar with people who saturate social media and promise you a life of travel and unlimited income. For some, this is a real possibility, however, you can put as much or as little time into online ventures as you want. Some people are satisfied with supplementing their salary with a side income, others want to make a full time living from their laptop. That is the beauty of making money online, you can make money from anywhere so long as you have a laptop and an internet connection.

Today, we are exploring some methods you can use to start creating an income online. There are many different routes you can take, from being a remote employee to having your own business, the options are vast.

Lets take a look at some of them.

SELL STUFF FROM AROUND YOUR HOUSE
The first thing we are going to look at is simply selling stuff from around your house. Anyone can do this as most of us have at least something we can sell. This isn't a long term option, unless you want to live in a house with nothing in it, however, it is good as an introduction to making money online. Put something up for sale on Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon, Gumtree or any selling site which is available to you.

FLIP PRODUCTS FOR A PROFIT.
We recently did A POST about flipping products for a profit. It is almost the same as selling things from around your house, however, you actively seek out products to buy and then sell them online for a profit. Those products are usually bought from places like; flea markets, car boot sales, antique fairs, thrift shops or even found online.

RUN A SUCCESSFUL BLOG
This isn't as easy as people think. Do not be so naive as to think you can start a blog, write a few articles and instantly make passive income forever. It doesn't work like that. The process is usually slow and builds over time. Persistence, consistency and content is king here. The joys of running a blog are the fact that you can write about whatever you want, make your own time schedules and in theory, your income potential is limitless. The start up costs for running a blog are small enough for anyone to start but understand that this is generally a long term game. Money will come in the form of advertising, selling products, affiliate marketing or offering a service through your blog. CREATE AND SELL ONLINE COURSES
If you have a specific skill or talent then you can create online courses and sell them. This is an excellent way to generate income because once you have done the work and made the course, you can then repeatedly sell the course without doing any extra work, except some marketing of course. There are many ways to do this, you could sell through your own site or use sites like Udemy or Teachable, where you tap into their traffic streams but have to pay them a commission for hosting your course on their site.

TEACH
You don't just have to create digital courses, you can also teach in real time. If you have a skill, such as knowing a certain language or playing an instrument then you can teach in real time over video feed. Get creative, there are many areas where teaching over video feed is an option.

ANSWER SURVEYS AND OTHER SMALL TASKS
Granter, this isn't going to make you much money but you can earn little bits online from doing activities, such as answering surveys, listening and giving feedback on music, watching short videos and completing questionnaires. Check out sites like Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, Slice of the pie or Pinecone Research. There are many sites out there but those should get you started.

START AN ONLINE STORE
Definitely one of the main ways to generate an income online. You source products and sell them via your own store. This concept is broad and you can start anywhere from creating your own little products to creating a brand and sourcing products for that brand. GET AN ONLINE JOB
Having a remote job is a very real possibility nowadays. The options available to you are broad but here are some to check out:
Be a virtual assistant.
Bookkeeping.
Proof reading & Writing.
Social media marketing manager / consultant.
Content Editor.
Sales rep.

CREATE EBOOKS
Similar to creating courses but only this time you are creating an Ebook and selling it either on your own website or through a third party website, such as GUMROAD
The Ebooks can be about anything. What are you good at? What knowledge do you have that will help other? Put it into a book and start selling it.

START A BUSINESS
For the final point today, it is the obvious one of starting a business. This is a bit of a blanket term because starting a business can be anything from selling something online to providing a service. If you already run a business offline then consider taking it online and make it grow. There are many examples of people doing this, one of the top of my head is a personal trainer who takes his knowledge and experience from training people in the real world to the online world. Another one might be a Florist who then takes her business from a brick and mortar store to an online store. The options are endless.

So there we have 10 ways you can make money online, all varying in income potential but hopefully it opens your eyes a little bit.
Of course, there are many areas left off the list, such as trading, investing, Peer to peer lending etc but today the goal was to supply you with some options for generating an income online.
