I have been thinking about this for a little while now. Do you think the GOP tax cuts will spark a long overdue increase in money velocity that in hindsight will be the moment hyperinflation started to take off? There is a lot of money that has been on the sidelines for quite sometime. At some point it has to come back into play. Right? This would be great for gold and silver.

And when people see bonds and stocks dropping, what dp they do first? SELL WHAT THEY CAN to pay off their "new debts" and cover their losses. What happens next? They rush back into HARD ASSETS to be sure they don't lose more as time progresses.

This is a good theory, thanks for the evidence. Does this explain Golds slightly positive beta of around .10? That's why it can move with the market but isn't totally correlated to it. Thanks.

Personally the only things I own are cash, crypto, gold, gold miners, and I have some long term puts on the DOW/Russell 2k. I think gold and my LEAPS have the most value.
Is this a good set up? Also, how low will the market tank when it does? 50-70%
