What big showdown? Greenspan has already said some time ago that they can go on printing money and Quantitative Easing indefinitely. What you see now may be the new normal. Just ask the Japanese.
The Federal Reserve is a Business... They get paid interest on every single dollar... Of course they won't stop printing... That is, up until the U.S. Coinage is Reset to Fair Market Value...
