Russian startup brings blockchain to organisation management

in #money8 years ago

Developers from Digital Technologies Bureau have created the Distributed Ledger Management System - an application for management and document flow control based on the blockchain.According to the company’s development director Daniel Kofman, “in fact, DLMS is the first blockchain solution for organisation management.”As the developers explained to CoinFox, DLMS provides control over functional processes within the organisation, tracks stages of task completion, manages work of project teams thus reducing time and effort spent on planning meetings and reports.According to DTB, the system is organised in such a way that every stage of task performance carried out by every system user is visible to leaders and members of project teams. All data downloaded from and uploaded to the blockchain carries signatures from the system computers and related departments. Signatures provide traceability of documents and all changes made to them.

“DLMS facilitates not only internal workflow of an organisation but it relations with regulators as well. Reports uploaded to DLMS will never be lost, while their preparation will be visible for .. leaders. In this respect, the implementation of the DLMS can also considerably accelerate paperwork when applying for permissions and licenses, because DLMS is not only about organisation management, it allows creating document aggregation points as well,” says the company’s chief legal officer Nikolay Merkulov.

Businesses and public organisations in various countries are turning to blockchain technologies to optimise their workflow. For example, PricewaterhouseCoopers is currently working on a real-time audit solution for wholesale insurance companies, while a US research centre New America together with National Democratic Institute and bitcoin mining company BitFury launch a blockchain accelerator to fight corruption.
