Lunyr (LUN) arrives at Bittrex

Lunyr opened on Bittrex a few hours ago, is trading above ICO price at 0.0012 BTC to 0.0018 BTC currently.

Ethereum based, Lunyr is a decentralized version of “Wikipedia” with advertising, in the short term. Their long term goal is to create something much more. Lunyr aspires to be an API (application programming interface) for other software such as virtual reality and even AI softwares.

The basics of the business model is simple, to inspire peer reviewed encyclopedic content via Etehreum blockchain technology, rewarding contributors with payments from Google-styled impression advertising. So, payment from relevant impression advertising (those small areas dedicated to advertising on many websites) will be combined with a 3% annual inflation rate to reward both contributors and miners.

My personal take on it is that it is an interesting project that might take some large initial gains as people begin to learn more about it, but faces some tough competition with the donation based, advertisement-free, king of the field, Wikipedia. I guess we will wait and see, but I personally wish them the best of luck!
