Another week down. Added a few units to our collection, took care of some key growth items, and are looking at bringing on two new team members.

Hiring is one of the hardest things that we do. Bring on board someone, can greatly improve your business or it can greatly harm it. Screening potential employees is paramount. We have a multi-step process before we even consider hiring.

  1. Meet them for coffee or lunch. Talk out what their goals are and see if they are a fit for our company. Personality and character can be seen during this time.
  2. Bring them in for a formal interview. Don't ask the typical questions, you both know why everyone is here. Test their knowledge in this step.
  3. Bring them on board. Once with us, we do know that they will be a good fit, now it is training time. Don't just throw them to the wolves.
  4. Teach them, and them teach them more. Make sure they understand it.
  5. Let them do great things. They will grow your business.

This is an over simplified version, but I think you get the point.

As always, happy investing.
