WTF! Flagged for asking an important question about the long term sustainability of Steem

in #money8 years ago (edited)

How do we make Steem sustainable in the long run? That was basically what I asked in my last blog post after having explained why there will be a problem, due to a 5 % yearly transfer of wealth from owners of Steem power to content creators. When the total market cap of Steem becomes stable or starts falling, the owners of Steem power will lose every year. That is the truth but apparently someone doesn't like hearing the truth so they flagged me.

I want to see Steem survive in the long run, but the way it works right now I think that it will collapse at some point, and that a lot of people will lose a lot of money. More details in the link below with a not so pretty graph of how much you would lose every year, if steem stays at a constant market cap which is the best case scenario after it has stopped growing.

I'm not sure why only one person responded to the post above, but I would like to hear your thoughts about why Steem is or isn't sustainable and how it can be made sustainable if you don't think it is now.

you downvoted yourself dude.

I know. That was my OCD. I clicked on it several times and now I can't change it, but someone else also flagged it.
