Five Money Saving Tips
Do you often think of the future??
Do you wonder if you will be able to save enough money to live the life of your dreams?
The future is important. It is much easier and more enjoyable to take the income, the money we have earned and worked hard to receive, and spend all of it every month and purchase whatever you want.
For some people, the future is so far away that they think it is not necessary to think about it. But in reality, there is no better time to think about it than now. Remember whatever your goal is, start now.
Saving for the future should stay in the forefront of your mind (and your finances!) regardless of whatever else comes around.
Something will always come up and compete for your resources.
Here Is A List Of Five Tips On How To Save Money.
Buy Only What You Need
Do you spend a lot of money buying items you barley need?
Or do you buy stuff just because others are buying them?
Before you begin to spend big on items you hardly make use of, it's important you have a list of what you need to buy written down. This will help you plan on how to send your money. If you don't have a list of what you want, you will get confused buying items you don't need. And this will definitely affect your savings and plan. You can make use of an old calendar. Write down all necessary stuff you need and your budget for that month. Hang it on wall so you remind yourself every time you look at it.
Make Your Own Food
Do you eat outside regularly?
Are you the type that can't cook?
If you can't cook learn how to cook. Going out to eat or “out on the town” has a
way of completely destroying both your food
budget. And no matter what, it is always
cheaper to prepare your own meals.
Eating homemade meals helps you save more
money. Eating out is one of the biggest pitfalls to saving for people. With some level of planning and discipline, it’s a habit that will yield results and save you more money.
It is okay to eat out occasionally but when it becomes a daily habit, the figures begin to build up much faster than you would have thought it possible.
You can start by buying affordable foodstuff at home. If you have a refrigerator, you can store these foods and they can last longer.
Instead of hitting the town, buying food form a restaurant, why not prepare a homemade meal for yourself. You’ll all save money – and have a blast.
Don’t Spend Big Entertaining Yourself
How often do you go out for some entertainment?
Do you drink occasionally or regularly?
Are you the type that likes parties?
Or do you like hitting the cinemas for some new movie?
Hitting the club or cinemas regularly can affect your savings if you don't have a good plan. Am not saying you shouldn't have fun. After all you work hard for it. But you can limit the amount of money you spend while entertaining yourself.
It's no news that drinks are quite expensive in the club or cinemas compare to when you buy them outside. There are lots of other ways to entertain yourself rather than spend big going out regularly. If you prefer watching movies, there are cheaper cable TV subscriptions to help you find the right movie for you. Invite a few friends over if you don't like seeing a movie alone. You can as well play some video or board games to add to your entertainment. You can do all these few time to help you cut down the cost of entertaining yourself.
Don't Shop Regularly
Do you shop regularly?
Do you buy lots of clothes?
Are you passionate about fashion?
No doubt a lot of us likes too dress with the latest clothes. But how often do you buy these clothes? You can save some money if you decide to buy clothes once a month or twice in three months. Am not saying you shouldn't wear good clothes but a lot of us have clothes that can last us for a year, we hardly even wear some. We want to buy a new shoe or shirt because our friends are buying. Like i said before, don't buy what you don't need. You can shop on festive periods because a lot of stores will be slashing down the prices of goods. This can help you save some money when you plan your next shopping trip.
Don't Save What Is Left
Are you the type that save the last change?
You save after spending big on unnecessary stuffs?
A lot of us make a mistake of saving our leftovers. After spending or buying a lot of items form the money we could have saved. We realized we've almost run out of cash so we save the little money left. If you continue this way, you won't be able to achieve any goal because you didn't plan ahead before spending. Always set a priority on your spendings. Save the money as soon as it comes. Don't wait until after you've almost emptied your account before you can start saving.
