Great story! I was mining bitcoin in 2014 and when I tried to explain it to people they looked at me like I was a fool. Bitcoin is at $2,500 now and they still don't want to have anything to do with it. I used to promote it as a way to subvert the banks, but it turns out most people just want to profit. THAT they can understand.
