Well that is great, but if everybody does this, there is no content, the whole meaning of this platform is lost and steem value follows.
On the other hand, if used on your original post to boost it up a bit, I think that is fair and is especially useful for minnows, with few followers.

i really not think it is much about beiing visible, more about network and connections..
It all depends, some times the message you are delivering is more important than who, or whose sees it, after all it will only be valuable for people who validate it or, for the person who delivers the message itself.
