If you're not a capitalist, you're going to get left behind!

I hear a lot of talk from the working and middle classes, and it's always the same lament: "capitalism is bad and I don't want any part of it. Blah, blah, blah."

I get why they say this. As the gap between rich and poor widens, and more people are thrust into poverty, those affected are starting to point fingers at the wealthy; starting to question the system of capitalism. Why should 1% of the world's population have 90% of the world's wealth? Or, why are large corporations paying very little taxes?

The problem with this mindset is, people are setting themselves up to fail. The bottom line is: capitalism isn't going away, no matter what people think of it, and trying to "sit it out" won't get you anywhere. The game is still going to be played, whether you like it or not. If you don't play, you forfeit, and that means staying at the bottom.

I try to explain this to my friends and family, but they seem to think they can simply ignore capitalism and they'll be spared. They won't be, and neither will anyone else.

So the best thing to do is make as much money as you can, legally and ethically, and join the 1%. I'm not a part of it yet, but the Internet has definitely allowed me to get closer to it than ever before.

not sure it's necessarily about capitalism per se and it's not about playing the game since the game itself is rigged. what it's really about is figuring out the ways in which it's rigged and taking advantage.
