Whether or not this is confirmed, or October 2017 is too early, it is still an interesting point about the future of bitcoin in the retail market. Amazon will do anything to stay ahead of its competitors, shown by its full tilt approach entering the grocery, shipping, delivery, and now prescription markets. Amazon using Bitcoin as a payment method would lend an incredible amount of legitimacy to crypto currencies and help push large volumes into Bitcoin daily usage.
