How I Invest

If time allows today, I am going to think about and possibly VLOG and Steem this thought train. How do I invest? Well - it’s not advice or ‘you should do XYZ to profit’ ideology. I look at the problem. Example real estate. It’s in a yuuuuge bubble. Like everything else. But could have a way to go. Corporate real estate bubble. So savvy CEOs can recognize when they need to trim a balance sheet in a snappy fashion. They refinance, maybe cut other overhead costs. Mortgage for corps is a big cost. Mortgage or lease. And if you own you aren’t burning the money. The lending coin offers a Blockchain solution to a coming problem whereby refinancing can actually profit a company. And the investors in the company and the associated tech and everything it touches. Considerations I give: who’s on the team? Where are they located? Are they mobile? Can they think and act globally? How much can I invest? What type of impact does my investment have? Is this a short term buy or long term hold? Do I need to monitor hourly, daily, monthly? What are the benefits of being invested? What does my investment do for others? What is the threshold for entrance? When should I exit?

The team should have older and younger. Someone who has been there, done that and lived to tell. And someone who can learn from them, live and think in the future and have a vested interest in longevity and vision. Education mix - paper isn’t everything. Demographic mix - are you only like me or are you like US?

Are they below the 45th parallel? Because the paranoid scientist in me sees nothing above 45N latitude doing well in the next 40 years. But that’s based on geography, Solar cycles, etc. et al paranoia
Are they close to urban centers? Might matter, might not. Can they do commerce regionally if resources are cut off?

Mobile. Binance is a good case for mobility. Phththththt!

Global vision and execution - because that’s the reality now. I like a team that is multilingual, make and female, multigenerational, multicultural. You just amplify your impacts.

If I invest $10 can I still participate? Will a whale (say the $1M plus investor) quash my dreams of being impactful? Will the whale shareholders increase our influence and help me to become more involved, allow me to participate more along the way, invest more as the company builds? In essence, market cap, coin cap, token supply, etc....

Does this company have a mindfulness of their community and are they investing in building community programs that give generously, attract new talent, enable future leaders, increase their growth?

On exiting - a tricky one. If I lose more than 10 % I usually exit. At 10.5 %. Unless I know the value, have the facts, did the research and have a strong hand for the HODL. First rule of money is never lose money. I’ve lost because I didn’t obey that rule. But a gain of 50 percent means I usually take half of the profit and either allocate to a new investment or hold to reinvest during a period of loss.

That’s not all, there is so much more that goes into it. SWOT analysis. A nice OODA Loop. Cash flow balance sheet. Historical and technical data. Data is cool.

Also - is it legal (big one) and what are tax structures/advantages?
