PM Narendra Modi takes oath for 3rd term:-

On June 9, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath for his third consecutive term as the Prime Minister of India. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India, in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu. This makes PM Modi the second Indian Prime Minister, after Jawaharlal Nehru, to retain power for a third consecutive term.

PM Modi took oath along with 71 ministers of the new coalition government.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by over 8,000 guests, including seven heads of state from neighboring countries as part of India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy.
PM Modi signed his first file authorizing the release of the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme, benefiting 9.3 crore farmers and distributing around Rs 20,000 crores.
The Prime Minister also signed his first file related to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a scheme to build 3 crore houses for the rural and urban poor.
