RE: 205 Steem Dollars Writing Contest - My Entry: MOBU - An Advanced & Elegant Solution
Hey @crypto.piotr,
Thank-you for your kind words :)
There seems to be some confusion regarding MOBU as an end-to-end solution for STOs (secure token offerings) vs MOBU tokens (utility tokens).
As a complete solution for businesses wishing to launch an STO that conforms to government rules and regulations, MOBU is king. However, since their abstract smart contract standard resides on the Ethereum blockchain, the costs and transaction fees must still be covered. Typically on the Ethereum blockchain, smart contracts and dapps are 'fueled' by Ether, which can be mined or purchased with fiat money. In the case of MOBU, they have decided to introduce their own utility token, namely, MOBU token. Basically, the demand for MOBU tokens will scale based on the activity of STOs and service providers that wish to join the 'team'.
MOBU tokens will be limited in circulation and therefore (based on success) will inevitably be in high demand. As demand inceases, so will the price per MOBU token. Another way to see gains on these tokens is for service providers (e.g. legal firms, KYC providers, etc.) to sign up for the MOBU platform and offer their services by staking MOBU tokens for a set period of time. As more service providers want to come on board, the scarcity of MOBU tokens will potentially increase the price.
Outside of MOBU tokens powering their ecosystem, you're basically left with investing in STOs that are launched using the MOBU platform. If you find that no project suits your needs in terms of financial performance, the better bet would be to buy MOBU tokens, which will be utilized for all STO projects that are deployed.
I really hope this answers your questions as I'm pretty drunk right now. The kids are sleeping, as is the wife, and I'm at my friends place getting tanked. I've been writing this response for over an hour now so please excuse the redundancy and grammatical errors in me response.
Cheers,
OFI

Hey @crypto.piotr,
I hope I answered your question! Lol
You'll find that I don't post very much, and nothing about crypto at that. I'd very much like to but life is hectic and I do what makes me happiest 😀
Thank-you for your support,
