Raquel Pennington took a brutal beating through out her title bid against Amanda Nunes last night. But it was during the 4th round she got her nose smashed with a knee.It was clearly broken & in between rounds before the 5th, she was telling her corner she was done. Her corner ignored her pleas & just told her to power through it, that there was 1 more round left.
You can check out the video below. Its at the 0:29 mark where you see the finish in the 5th round, with Raquel literally getting beat in a pool of her own blood with the controversy behind her corner right after.

I believe when somebody is asking to stop wether in fighting or any situation, you stop it.What's the point of sending a fighter out that's already broken? You're just sending them out for more unnecessary damage when the fight is clearly outta their hand at that point.Yes we've seen comebacks from fighters taking an ass kicking, but never from a fighter that wants out of a fight. It is the cornermen's duty to look out for their fighter wether they're asking to stop the fight or to protect them for their own good.I hope we don't have to see another ugly situation like this again.

I remember when UFC started.. There was no rounds or weight divisions.. It was a draw of the hat on who fought who.. I don't watch it much anymore because it has become to commercialized and is seeming to go the way wrestling did..

It was pretty wild back then & it's a surprise nobody died during that time. From open weight divisions to steroids being encouraged & anything goes, it was very dangerous. You're missing out on a lot of crazy talent in todays age, but I do agree we could do without the wrestling antics.
