MLBC Unofficial Winterball World Series Playoffs Game Two
Game Two saw another home team sweep, and would have ended the first round of eliminations BUT I decided to make it a best of five game series.
On investigating the relief pitcher bug, I am fairly confident the first game results were still valid. My testing showed me that several of the teams were very well matched though, and a three game series would likely be settled purely by luck. Also, I only had ONE player submit team changes, if that keeps up, it is easy for me to run more games.
Game Three is scheduled for Saturday Night (Feb 22nd).
The Teams will be switching fields, the underdogs will have the Home Field Advantage for the rest of this round.
Players have until 9PM Eastern Time on Saturday to submit team changes.
If neither team in a pairing submits changes, and the series goes to four games, I will run the remaining games in their series Saturday night.
If you do submit changes, and your series goes to four games, the fourth game in your series will tentatively be scheduled for Monday night.
SUBSTITUTION RULES
Each team is allowed to make TWO changes.
You can select any action from the below list, you can even select the same action twice.
Changes will be due Saturday, February 22 , at 9PM Eastern.
If you have my email you can send them that way, alternatively you can DM me through discord at ledeir#1181 or post in the comments.
- Swap a figure. The figure must fill the same position and be minted. Send me a link to the figure so I can load it.
- Change your Batting Order and/or Relief Pitcher switch inning. Send me an updated list using the player names.
- Replace your Designated Hitter with a Pitcher (and specify the swap inning).
- Replace your Relief Pitcher with a Designated Hitter.
- Revert to a previous team configuration. (Obviously not available this time, but will be doable in the future)
You cannot "bank" these changes for future games. I will specify the number of changes allowed based on how many I have time to implement. Any changes you make will carry over to future games, your team will NOT revert back.
GAME TWO RESULTS
This has been increased from best in three to best in five due to the relief pitcher bug found game one and the fact that several of the teams are very closely matched, too closely matched to be settled after two games.
The Averagers VS Boston Bombers

As previously mentioned, the Averagers will NOT change their team lineup. They are, and will remain, the "average" starting team.
That being said, without something changing, the Bombers will likely bomb out next game. Verlander should probably sub out a couple innings earlier and they could use some extra batting power.

This has been a painfully busy week, and the last game was really close. I did NOT make any changes to the Code Monkeys and trusted to RNG. It didn't pay off.

The only game which had any substitutions. Macho Man Randy Poffo swapped their pitcher and DH. The teams are fairly evenly matched, but my money is on Randy Poffo.

It looks like these teams are a much better matchup than previously expected. Still, I expect the Dogs to advance to the semi finals. I give them 3:2 odds.
