Halfway through the #minnowuprising: a closer look
I've been down to close to one post a day this last week. There was even a day I didn't post! Yikes!
I think I missed the payout notification on my one week progress report, or else I would have done this sooner. Guess my figures will be a bit off.
I'm going to look a bit deeper this time than just the increase in steem income. I'll be using https://steemdb.com/@nateonsteemit and steemreports.com to do so. Of you haven't used steemdb before, it's kind of a block explorer for steem where you can look at all kinds of graphs for a specific user's profile. I just now learned about steemreports from @preparedwombat a few minutes ago. It's another steem block explorer.
To kick it off, let's show the income stats. I have been changing all my SBD to steem on the internal market because I'm saving up for something special with @senstless.
This week was the payout week for the first week of the #minnowuprising movement initiated by @taskmaster4450.
This week (8 days actually), my liquid steem holdings rose 7.371 for a gain of about 185%. My steem power rose 6.741 for 5.4%.
Now for the more detailed figures:
This one is really exciting to me. Coming into July, with the uprising and having quit farcebook, my activity and vests have skyrocketed.
Incoming votes have increased a lot this month, and outgoing have stayed pretty consistent. Probably has something to do with increased engagement. I've been trying really hard to follow more people and engage on more posts.
I think the decline in this graph is because I stopped using bid bots. Back then I was bidding my posts up to $10-15. Now, I'm in the $1-2 range on most posts. Cool by me.
This is where I start learning new things. I've never looked at this site or this type of chart before as it relates to my steem presence. I know for a fact that my engagement has gone way up. As has my voting. So if 60 votees is high, I wonder what it was before.
Now for the really humbling bit. Wow, I need to be more appreciative here. 134 people supporting me here in a very real way. Way to make me feel tiny y'all lol. I'm going to try hard to do better with my engagement and reciprocal voting. We'll see on the next update :)
As for some perks I'd like for folks to engage in, here are some recommendations for getting the most out of your time here:
@steembasicincome
I recommend people get as much SBI as they can manage. Trade goods for SBI. Trade SBI for SBI. Buy SBI. I've got somewhere to the tune of 110 shares now, most of which was bought when steem was in the $3-4 dollar range. Since some wasn't bought by me, I'd say I've got $250 wrapped up in it. It pays off the steem investment (not necessarily the USD investment) after a hundred daily posts, so it incentivizes activity.
@dustsweeper
Did you know that posts valued under $0.02 don't pay out? Send @dustsweeper a couple SBD and it'll make sure your posts get over that threshold. It has voted a lot of comments for me this week, which is about to manifest itself. This week will be interesting.
@minnowsmith
Speak of the devil. Just as I write this out, I get a notification for a payout of .021 steem from @minnowsmith. Its not much, but it's free. Open your browser, go to minnowsmith.party, enter your steem handle, and get paid. Since I have three computers, I have one set up for me, one set up for @burntoblog, and one set up for @brockolopolis.
That's it for today. Hope the uprising is working out well for everyone else too!
Stay relevant
Nate
@nateonsteemit Thank you very much for mention me in your post. I really appreciate your support!
And I really like that you also mine for two other guys, I do this every day. :)
No problem! I love your project. @mightypanda has me curious as to whether the browser mining can cause any damage to a motherboard. Is there anything you can say to that issue?
I wouldn't run it at a level where you can hear your fan getting loudly or you think it really brings the computer to it's limit. If you just run settings that are not really changing anything badly, I mostly just run 2 threads and 100% and get to 25h/s.
But yes, if you run your computer at limit always I can imagine that it will effect the lifetime of some parts.
Right on. I think I run 3 threads. I'll turn it down one just to be safe. Can't afford to lose a computer.
Hey @nateonsteemit, you just received a random 100% upvote for your activity at the @minnowsmith project! Stay tuned and keep mining. :)
I have increased my activity on steem quite a bit recently and I still dont post every day. Lol Engaging with like minded people seems to be one of the best things to do on the platform. Steem is better than farcebook.😁
Shoot for two posts a day and see what happens! :)
Hey thanks for the follow! I might just do that. I'm starting to find what I like to post about so it's getting easier. Hope your numbers have a nice spike here shortly.😃
Yours too!
I actually thought I already followed you. I go ahead and follow most folks I talk to on here, so I was surprised I hadn't followed you already.
minnowsmith.party My web content scanner blocked it saying its a malware. I would suggest you scan your 3 computers.
Lol they'd come back positive af. Those things always list mining sites and mining software as malware. The site has a built in browser miner that mines Monero for it's host. He then exchanges it for steem and sends it to his clients. I assume he profits some off the Monero as well.
In that case you should definitely avoid it. Mining crypto using ur PC is bad for the motherboard. One overheated capacitor and you are under 200$. Not worth it. If you want to get into mining, buy hardware. Mining sites are also scam for the most part. Just my 2 cents.
I took the foot a bit off the gas pedal on Steem also with just about one post a day and even none. But I am planning on taking my consistency back. I really feel Steem like being a part of my life and I am missing a lot when I am not active.
More steem! More posting! More good!
You got a plankton sized upvote from @worksinsane because your post appeared in the We Curate quality post search tool. It is a web art thingy thing that searches posts which fulfill predetermined rules. Upvoting isn't automated, @worksinsane reads posts before upvoting.

Your numbers look great!
I've not been paying like I'd like to. I got a job, so I've been terribly discombobulated for the last week. But I'm getting things together, so I'll be posting again, probably starting Friday!
But, it looks like all your hard work is paying off. I wonder if the minnowuprising and upvoteplankton tags will continue after July? I don't see why we all can't keep supporting each other.
I don't see why not! I haven't added the tag to my @ginabot notifications because I am already getting a ton of notifications with just the couple of tags I follow, but I have followed the tag here at least once daily.
I just look the tags up on Busy. Gina bot would never shut up if I had her follow them!
And what's your new job??
Well, right now for the contract we're on, I'm assembling actuators for intercontinental ballistic missiles. I work for a company that specializes in "energetics". Everything in the plant I'm in is explosive, black powder and beryllium. Other plants to batteries for the DOD, NASA, medical equipment, commercial communication satellites, that sort of thing.
Oh boy! War profits! Now we have an inside scoop. How's production? lol

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.
Production's boring! A girl's gotta make a living.... 😶
Hahahah definitely not judging. If we went to world war, I'd be making tanks. Glad it's boring though ;) world war doesn't sound fun.
No, it doesn't!
I love the haiku bot! 😄 That's the best haiku I've ever seen! Imma have to get that put on a shirt and wear it to work! 😂
That's kinda hilarious. I usually find the bot annoying, but have never downvoted it. It's funny that it counted "lol" as a syllable.
Great way to see changes through the analytics! We hope that this is just the beginning for minnows!
