I'm going to assume that everyone here knows how to upvote and why you should upvote. If not, I'll be getting to that in a future post. The reason I'm starting off with this post is because quite a few people asked me on how to get more upvotes and exposure.

Before you get upvotes, you need to understand that nobody will upvote anything of yours until they know you. The best way to get to know people is by commenting on their posts and getting to know people. Give your genuine feedback on posts and people will start viewing your blogs as well. It's only human nature to be curious after all.

So you're an introvert and not willing to socialize? Alright well I have 2 more ways for you:

1.) Buy loads of steem and power it up to steem power. Upvote your blog posts and people will start taking notice once your reputation builds up.
2.) Create quality content.

Now option #1 is probably not feasible for everyone. Unless you're some millionaire, you probably won't have a couple thousand dollars lying around to invest here. If that's the case then start creating quality content and someone is bound to take notice of you!

Now the problem with option #2 is that it can be very tedious and time consuming and when you only see upvotes worth a couple cents on your blog posts, it can feel like a hopeless uphill battle and you might lose your motivation. If that's the case then there are a few ways to accelerate yourself to the top. I will list them below and explain each of them:

1.) @minnowsupport (FREE)
2.) @minnowbooster (PAID)
3.) steemfollower (FREE)

1.) Minnow support

Head on over to the minnow support project here: https://steemit.com/@minnowsupport .
Basically minnowsupport is the only project on this platform that is genuinely devoted to helping out minnows and those who are starting out. You join their discord chat, verify your account with them and you can request an upvote from minnowsupport once every 12 hours!
The monetary gain from those free upvotes isn't much but their discord community is actually one of the friendliest on here and it is an incredible way to introduce yourself to these people.

2.) Minnow Booster

Head on over to the minnow support project here: https://steemit.com/@minnowbooster

Minnowbooster is one of the few paid-to-vote bots on this platform that are actually profitable. You can request upvotes for as little as 0.01 SBD to as much as their maximum daily limit each day! You can check what the daily limit is at https://www.minnowbooster.net/users/YOUR-USERNAME-HERE (For example I could view mine at https://www.minnowbooster.net/users/welcome-to-steem).

But aside from being a paid to upvote account, it is also a place where you can lease Steem Power for anywhere between 1 - 52 weeks! Leasing steem power is one of the best ways to get started on this platform.

3.) Steemfollower

This is by far one of my favorite methods of getting upvotes for free! You can sign up at STEEM FOLLOWER . I'll give a brief tutorial on how to sign up below.

• First of all, go to your wallet like this:

• Next, go to your permissions tab over here:

• Next, you will need to copy your Posting Key. Click the button that says "Show private key" next to the posting key and copy it. (KEEP IS SAFE AND DO NOT SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE)

• Now that you have your posting key, it's time to register to steem follower.

• Visit the link at STEEM FOLLOWER

• Click the login button over here:

• Enter your username:

• Now enter the posting key that you copied earlier:

• You will now be at a page that asks you to grant permission to steemfollower to vote, comment and follow on your behalf (hence why the term posting key). Don't worry. steemfollower will only vote on the posts that you want it to and only follow the people that you want it to. Make sure all 3 items are checked and click continue.

• You will now be back to the steemfollower page and logged in. Click on exchange and click on upvote exchange:

• On this new page, you can either click search for all or specify the kind of posts you would like to see to upvote:

• For the purposes of this tutorial I will click on show all

• Once there a bunch of posts in front of you, all you need to do is start upvoting the posts that you like. REMEMBER TO WAIT AT LEAST 5-10 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH UPVOTE!

• If your Steem power is low, you can only upvote 10 posts a day. Once you do, Once you're done, you can refresh the page and you will notice your earnings on this page will have gone up and you will now get upvotes equal to or greater than the amount on the side:

Other than that, you can also go to follower exchange (click exchange and click follow exchange) and follow other people and they will follow you back within a couple hours as well!
