Many psychologists believe that emotional intelligence influences a person's success more than their intellectual ability. Sure as I do, you know people with a great intellect, but with big financial problems.

Does emotional intelligence matter in steemit?

The answer is a resounding yes. The reason is that at first it can be a bit harsh. Maybe you spend hours, like me preparing quality content and at the end of the day the results are not what you expected. It even seems unfair to you as other posts have better income. In the end you wonder if you should continue. That's where emotional intelligence comes in.

There are many valid definitions of emotional intelligence. Generally it is understood as a balance between quadrants: on one axis, "Person" and "Other", and on the other, "Understanding" and "Influence".

Here are some elements of this kind of intelligence that will help you overcome negative feelings.

Elements of Emotional Intelligence

1. Emotional self-knowledge (or emotional self-awareness)

It is the knowledge of our own feelings and emotions and how they influence us. It is important to recognize how our mood affects our behavior, what our capabilities are and what our weaknesses are. To change your world you have to start by discovering why you feel the way you do it.

2. Self-motivation

Focus your emotions on goals and goals, that helps you stay motivated and focus on goals rather than obstacles. It is essential the optimism and the initiative, we act with value in front of the unforeseen ones.

3. Empathy

Empathy is the ability to understand what others feel. The lack of this leads to one being isolated. Steemit is a community or social network, so it would be illogical not to interact with others. Following, commenting give upvote are ways of interacting with other partners. Instead of bothering you for what others do, rejoice. Alone, you can not succeed in steemit.

There are those who claim that prosperity is based on four factors: your intellect (how clever you are), your experience (including your education, previous work and training), your effort and your emotional intelligence. For the first three, there are standards that allow them to be quantified as curricula or references. But this is not the case with emotional intelligence.
