Torico's Sustainability Curation

Hi everyone.
This is my Curation Page for the week of February 19th - February 25th.
I will be featuring some of my best finds for new writers posting on the topic of sustainability. The tags I look for deal with earth friendly living, including intentional communities, recycling, climate, homesteading, eco-building, ecology and whatever else pop up.
The Minnow Support Project has multiple curators that pick five posts from under-valued minnows each week to highlight through msp-curation. This way MSP and PAL can promote new writers and content creators on Steemit, and in effect reward them for doing a superior job.
In my particular curation, I try to concentrate specifically on newer authors that write sound articles on a variety of interwoven topics. Hopefully I can recognise a different set of people than the other curators in order to boost recognition and appreciation of new Steemians.

My first entry is from uber energetic Oz author The Little Worm Farmer aka quochuy, entitled How to setup a new worm compost bin. This guy is non stop, with 27 posts about worm farming and vege gardening since he onboarded 20 days ago. Follow this up with How to feed your compost worms, or sink your teeth into his latest, Growing Okra for food or as a medicinal plant.

Brand new steemian lenka-r dazzled me with her thoughtful and well written first article Why raising awareness about renewable energy matters. The author presents a valid case for proactively educating our children and friends about energy awareness, then laid down two more posts about geothermal in How Does Geothermal Energy Work?. This is someone to watch!

I loved movement19s post Eye Heart Homesteading Week 1, which details life on his one acre zero waste micro farm slash homestead, with kids and partners and projects galore! Discussed are zero waste cleaning kits, upcycled raised beds and wormy composting experiments. Also enjoyed the concept behind an ongoing post series in Upcycle, repurpose, zero waste ideas... Awesome!

His hope is that they might avoid health and safety issues with a more efficiant and affordable system to cook with. A cultural history, advantages and detailed description are discussed. Well done!
