Curation for Creatives- Pure Poetry edition!
Every week I am supposed to pick 5 pieces of creative writing to feature for MSP to curate- sometimes I do this later in the week than others. I am not so good at having a schedule for posting- in fact, I have about a gazillion things I should be doing for work right now. But it's a sad anniversary for me, so I'm taking a mental break from real life tonight.
@shawnamawna writes a poem that rushes past you in a flash of poetic anger. It's tagged "Me too"- a poignant reminder.
@doghaus was inspired by Bob Dylan in this poem about missing your loved ones when they are gone. Also, there's a Dylan Thomas allusion, so respect.
I would have shared this for the pun/personification combo in the first stanza, but the entire poem is excellent. I love the subtle exploration of wanderlust, of the feeling right before making a change.
This poem both makes me want to curl up with a good book, and go make some new friends. It's my personal favorite from the poetry dice challenge by @robyneggs, which I also entered.

If you're talking about my next post, I usually create a curation one once a week, usually Wednesday-Friday depending on my schedule. I also have some poetry, fiction, and a piece about meet-ups in my back pocket.
