Introduce and Support Each Other
Last week I made a post that got more attention than most of my posts and the whole thing was a lot of fun.
The post provided users of all sizes a change to engage and introduce themselves to other and the results were amazing! 252 comments and still climbing. This should give you an idea of how hard it can feel for new Steamians to find each other. Yet, find each other they did! The networking was awesome, because in part they had the ability to feel free to interact and engage.

What I was reminded of is finding each other can be hard and it's likely going to remain difficult unless there is a UI change coming. If we know it is hard, then everyone can understand that it is hard we can express that. We have too many new users who think stakeholder are going to come looking for them. Maybe it should or shouldn't work that way... All I know is that it doesn't. The minnows and redfish need to find each other and support each other. If you are all seeking dolphin and whale votes you will likely be disappointed.

Our Active Accounts Currently Consist Of:

This is before the gates on signups are open! There are not enough stakeholders, it isn't just greed it is time and voting power also. So adjust the expectations and please stop telling the redfish and minnows to expect whale votes!
I've been saying it for a while, it is up to us! The minnows and redfish are going to have to support each other through the phase of getting some traction. Vote for yourself if you make a good post, build up to the slider. Get in little groups and help each other build! There will be time to reward great content! Right now, build your account! We need you. After Hardfork 20 I think they quit wiping away dust votes, so that should help also!
Let's build a middle class and let the minnows support themselves and each other to grow their accounts! Feel free to Network with each other in the comments, ONLY ON THIS POST, give yourself a vote, drop a link... Go wild.. Just don't think it flies else where.

There are only 37 whales on this platform as we can see from the stats . Obviously they cannot help each and everyone.

I'm totally on board with helping each other grow here. Actually (shameless plug coming), I wrote an article about getting more eyes on your posts yesterday. It's targeted at people who are new to Steemit or struggling to grow their accounts.
This was quite possibly the post that has received the most engagement of all my posts to date.
Also, I'm about to hit 1000 SP so to give back to the community I'm planning on doing a little short term delegation to a newbie. I'll do a post about it once I hit the 1k. :)

For the moment i am still a red fish but my plan is to power up all the way till i will become at least a minnow. For the moment i have 266 steem power so still some time ahead...
But slowly i will reach there!

You used the introduceyourself tag and you have bots welcoming you to steemit haha.
I know... hahaha. Can't they figure out I'm not new? Bot makers need to up their game!
That's the reason one of this welcoming bots have Reputation Level 8...

Bots cannot do anything when reputation is very high😀😀. You can introduceyourself tag as many as times as you want lol
Yeah, the only way this works is if you make people aware you are here. We all find that out and the ones who stay and make this work take responsibility and venture out interacting with others. Once you do that, it gets a lot easier as you find a lot of others through the comment sections.
So much this. I spend more time on here than I should reading the many great posts within my small circle. There are many great posts here once you find those who interest you. But even then, time becomes a factor, as well as voting power. I tend to log out once I have used up my voting power, but everyone has their own methods.
This is a business with the perks of learning new things and meeting cool people. As such, people should really think about the idea of investing in their business monetarily. Many say they can't afford it, but I am sure many who say that could revisit this next time they are at the drive through, or shopping and find a few bucks here or there if they wanted to.
