RE: The @MINNOWMINER Program Is Seeking Whale Support
Hello @lukestokes; it is a privilege to have an inquiry from a whale llike you.
If you try to observe the approach, the JOUELSTEEM circuit is laid out in "descriptive blogs" firstly. This is deliberately done so that any "non-technicals" (which almost all are) can easily bring such circuits and descriptions to electricals and electronics pros (or even enthusiasts). EASY layouts with descriptions is the way to go for these types of offgrid power.
After these descriptive posts will be the "numbers crunching" posts where real and observable results will be listed as well.
If you try to visit the offgrid (#freenergy) forums, like overunity.com, non-technicals are essentially joining in the questions and answers. STEEMIT is more of a blogging platform, hence the descriptive approach will be more effective here.
To add and to take this opportunity of your query, said JOULESTEEM low-power is already studied at the moment to be applied to city farming methods, like AQUAPONICS using low-power air pumps and low-power indoor lighting, all of which will be part of the blogs of @lightingmacsteem in the months to come. @lightingmacsteem is also willing to assist any technical people as they start to replicate.
@minnowminer is more of the "awareness campaign", hence the SP delegations from a whale. Thank you once again for the query.
Regards.
You've just answered a question I was about to ask @lightingmacsteem ie what are the practical applications of the JOULESTEEM circuits?
I showed one of your latest circuits to a friend yesterday, who is also experimenting with making circuits. So far he's been able to supplement the solar energy of our outside solar lamps so that with the circuit, they shine for much longer.
I'm also REALLY interested in setting up an AQUAPONICS system and if that can be off the grid ~ Oh happy days.
I just thought of another friend who may benefit from looking at your circuits. Ted Rocavert, owner of Living Apartments here in Sydney, has been designing systems for growing edible plants indoors for more than 20 years now. He's also designed aquaponic systems as part of his plant stands.
The conservation of water and energy has always been a big factor in all his designs. And if his systems could be on a circuit instead of the grid, they could be housed in areas ~ Like the far reaches of my backyard. Oh happy happy days. 🦋
Hello @allyinspirit, the JOULESTEEM circuit will be a very good addition to the knowledge of the person you just described. Actually you got the very idea of WHY these circuits are so valuable, because even if we say we just SAVED something from our present consumption, this in itself will be a very good progress already.
There are many ways to harness energy, and if one will just open his/her mind to the world around us, even a plant's growth needs energy, so the next question is, WHO or WHAT sustains it?
The SUN emits rays of light daily, and if LIGHT in itself is described as energy by even the present scientists, there must be WAYS to harness it, solar panels just being one approach. As described by Tesla, the SUN also emits radiant power, and if captured in some ways unique to its properties, you will have electricity, exactly like the one captured by the SOLAR PANELS!
That is why these approaches are called "alternative", I guess what will be needed now are people who also have ALTERNATIVE MINDS, always thinking about new possibilities, never shutting doors of new ideas.
Regards.
Did I already mention to you that the very first intention of the JOULESTEEM circuit is "indoor lighting"? That is why I carried the alias of @lightingmacsteem. and the title of the JOULESTEEM posts which always have the word LIGHTING.
Let there be LIGHTS!!! And it was so.........
Yes. Let there be light ~ And especially when our energy resources are used more efficiently. 🦋
Do stay tuned here as we will arrive at a point where I will apply such low-power energy generation to pump water using "minimalistic" wattages as applied to AQUAPONICS. Indoor lighting also will be discussed.
We are still a long way, but I am confident we can arrive there @allyinspirit. All of us here will benefit this innovation. Thanks.
I will for sure @minnowminer. Love the idea of setting up my own indoor aquaponics system with minimal wattage. Inspiring me to do so. 🦋
