MinnowBooster Update Log #16

Hey there, @bulleth here with the latest update on MinnowBooster paramaters.

As you have probably noticed, voting power on the bot has been steadily declining and is now around 60%. As such, we are changing the $7 per week limit back to $5 per week. This will hopefully allow the voting power to start recharging naturally again.

Also as the voting power is so low, we are having to raise the minimum send to $1 SBD. This is because if the voting power declines any further, 0.5 SBD votes will become unprofitable. Hopefully this change is only temporary and we will keep you updated. In case this change temporarily prices you out of using the service, we recommend using the @discordia voting bot which has a low minimum of just 0.10 SBD.

Now for the good news, as well as the above changes, we are also upping the maximum daily send to $5. This is once again a matter of profitability, instead of spreading your five $1 SBD upvotes out over the week, you can put them all on one post if you wish. This means you should still be able to turn a nice profit, even at the current low voting power.

Now for the DLM, we recently halved the market rate on SP leases and the market was swamped with unprecedented demand. This was great for the people who got in early, but eventually our delegators simply ran out of SP to spare at the current promotion rate. There are currently more than 50 orders sitting in the market unfilled. We are working on variable pricing and this should be available very soon, but in the mean time, we will be raising prices to offset demand and incentivise delegation. Until variable pricing is introduced, the rates for leasing SP will be as follows:

• 150 SP for 4 Weeks will cost 4 STEEM
• 75 SP for 1-3 weeks will cost 1 STEEM (per week)

With this change, we are aiming for the middle ground between our original price structure (not enough demand) and the promtional pricing structure (too much demand). Leasing SP for curation should still be profitable at these new prices.
