How much Can I make Selling my Vote to MinnowBooster?
By now, we hope you have heard that Minnowbooster wants to purchase your votes to help fill in the gap and serve more people looking for Boosts. If not, check out our Sell Your Vote Primer and learn more about the process.
Today we want to talk more in detail about the returns you will see when you allow us to use your vote. To put it in the simplest terms, allowing Minnowbooster to use your vote, turns you into a Minnowbooster!
You get the benefits of being an upvote bot without having to do any programming!
Allowing us to use your Voting Power gives us the opportunity to conserve some of Minnowbooster's Voting Power, and thus, we can accommodate more requests with better upvotes!
So here's what's in it for you. We'll use some easy to work with numbers but you can escalate these to fit your specific voting situation.
- @someminnow sends $1.00 SBD to Minnowbooster, calling for an Upvote of $2.50 on their Post "How to Minnow like a Boss"
- Minnowbooster goes through its database and finds @imawhale set to sell their vote valued at $2.50. We use its vote to upvote the "How to Minnow like a Boss" post for @someminnow.
- 75% of the fee paid by @someminnow ($0.75), is added to @imawhale's Minnowbooster wallet from the $1.00 which @someminnow sent in as compensation for using the upvote.
- @imawhale also earns curation awards for its upvote of up to 25%, or potentially an additional $0.62 in curation.
Movember Special
Here's the good news ... as an added perk, for the entire month of Movember, We are Increasing the Vote Seller's take on the Boost from 75% to 80%, so if you sign up now, or are already part of the program, in the scenario above you would be reimbursed $0.80 instead of $0.75 for the entire month of November.
The more people who sign up to sell their vote through Minnowbooster, the less the facilitation percentage will be. We hope to have enough people signed up by the end of November to stay at the 80% rate, or even move to our ultimate goal of 85% of the Boost payment going to the Vote Seller, while Minnowbooster simply retains 15% facilitation fee.
Here's the breakdown of when the Minnowbooster percentages will drop, and by how much. All numbers are based on the number of additional Boosters we can support.
We are currently at 20% over what the Minnowbooster vote could do on its own, after just a few weeks of running the servi. The more people who join in, the bigger cut each seller receives for their vote!
Additional info:
- You will always have the option to reduce or even shut off the ability of Minnowbooster to use your vote at any time in your Minnowbooster Dashboard.
- We recommend a threshold of 95% or lower so that you are always able to take advantage of your excess voting power.
- If you anticipate doing a lot of manual curation, you can turn off the service at any time.
- Conversely, if you are going on vacation and will not be able to curate at all, you can take the slider down as low as you like and we will do all the voting for you.

Updated Terms of Service
Minnowbooster takes Boost Abuse very Seriously. Abusers be warned, a new policy is being put in place and if you continue to upvote content that violates our TOS, we will be removing your upvote and declining a refund payout.
What constitutes abuse of @minnowbooster?
- Using multiple accounts to post duplicate content and purchasing MB upvotes for all of them.
- Same goes for using multiple accounts to post low quality content just to farm Minnowbooster for profits
- Upvoting posts with MB that are written in a copy / paste style.
- Using a MB vote for very short or repetitive content.
- Length is subjective, but 150 words is a good safe guideline, however original art, photography, video and animations will be exempt from the 150 word guideline.
- Think about the content you are upvoting and decide based on the criteria we have laid out.
What is @minnowbooster's new policy in dealing with abuse?
Users who violate our TOS regarding upvotes will face the following consequences:
1.) Your post will be unvoted by Minnowbooster
2.) You will not receive a refund for the original upvote.

Hmm well it's actually good for those who have a good worth of their upvote. As a minnow it's little hard to benefit from it :)
Your vote is worth 20 cents, so you can profit from this easily. Once your 100% vote hits the 1 cent mark you can profit from it like the big guys.
But we don't see any calculations as to how much one can get with a 20 cents upvote power.
Probably 1 SBD per day or more. The calculation is in the post :)

So: your 20 cent vote can be used for a 10 cent send. And from that you earn 8 cent per 100% vote. That is 80 cent per day. And then add curation rewards to it and you go to 1 sbd per day.

Damn. That's a lot of fee your getting in return of your upvote. That's highly profitable if you don't vote that often. This is particularly nice for whales. But how about minnows. Their vote is worth up for $0.15 cents.
Do you also let minnows vote in a bath. So in this scenario you have around 16 minnows voting for each 0.15 cents which is equal to $2.50.

Well all sellers get the lower fee, regardless of being minnow or whale :)
And I have a few plans for using the really small votes, so stay tuned. Combining them would be a waste in my opinion.
Selling your vote is giving you a big return and as long as your vote is worth 1 cent or more, your are eligible :)
True, it would be a waste of combining them. But I don't really see an option for minnows to use their voting power since their upvotes are worth not much. But gladly you have plans for it, so I stay tuned!
