Antpool miners will start mining Siacoin
AntPool, one of the largest crypto-currency mining pools, announced that it will now support the Siacoin token.
The announcement of AntPool support is accompanied by news that the giant of the mining industry from China Bitmain, which owns AntPool, has launched a new device for mining , called AntMiner A3. Data shows that AntPool currently processes 18% of transactions in the bitcoin network.
Siacoin is the native Sia blockbuster token, which was developed by a blockbuster start-up from Boston called Nebulous, to support its decentralized cloud storage system.
According to representatives of Bitmain , the new AntMiner A3, which has a power of 815 GH / s, supports the "blake2b" hashing algorithm, which is also used for Siacoin blockade.
Nevertheless, the news, apparently , was not well received by at least one member of the Siacoin development team.
One of the team's representatives, under the nickname "Taek42", claimed at Reddit that Bitmain was making a profit from the Sia ecosystem. Taek42 added that the Sia blockbuster can be modified in such a way as to get rid of the possibility of mining on the network using AntMiner A3, but this will require a softphone.
While some agreed with the mood of the developer under the name Taek42 , many users welcomed the release of Bitmain into the arena of Sia.
The user under the nickname JoWi96 napalsal on Reddit:
"Bitmain, which sells the miner for the Sia blockbuster, will favorably affect the price of the coin, and this leads to something that inspires us."
