Building my first mining rig what do you guys think?

in #mining7 years ago

I decided to build a mining rig and try and see if I can build based on energy efficiency. Keep in mind this is a starter rig and will add some better GPU's later down the road I might possibly wait until Nvidia releases their miner specific GPUs specific for mining to get better ones.

Great you should look at different builds aswell though. I went with the z270a motherboard as it is a great alternative to the BTC one. always the cards are fantastic if you can get hold of them. I am really struggling filling my mining pc with more cards.

Yeah you have to pay an arm and a leg right now to get the best cards.

Yeah it will start getting better now though i think as difficulty is going up on ETH.

Once the rig is ready post some photos with it as it is interesting to see how is going to look like and later on it will be a great idea if you will let us know how is performing as well....

I think it's a wonderful idea , would like for you to share you final product with us

Gosh man...I'm looking at that paste like....SMH...Man...I'm afraid to ask how much all of that came up to...

Any reason you picked the 1060 mini? In my mind mini GPU's should be avoided for mining and reserved for SFX gaming computers

The tb250 btc pro is cheaper and maybe a better mobo option, and a cheap m.2 ssd would draw less power than a hdd. But I like the gpu cards!
