Day 62:) Headed to the New Normal
We are living a minimalistic life. Thanks to the pandemic. Just with the essential commodities and the things that we really need. We can live without having junk food, going to any of the food chains, watching movies in theaters and many more.
The concept of minimalism is there for ages. It means to possess very few stuffs, in absence of which life will be difficult. It helps in giving us more free space not only in houses but also in brain. Research shows that buying and acquiring more result in unhappiness, as it consume our precious which we could have spend to nurture our relationship with our friends, families and colleagues.
Materialistic possessions give us happiness momentarily but the experiences last forever. That’s why the great ads sells experience not the product. You will remember the moments you spend with your friends but may not remember what they gifted you. You can easily recall the college trips you had.
Overtime you would have gathered lots of substances. There will be items in your wardrobe that you haven’t used in last 100 days and won’t be using in next 100 days. Probably you don’t need those. Due to the existing habit you are unable to let them leave you. Walk out of the comfort zone. You will be happier and more peaceful. You can donate them to the needy.
“The less your needs are, the happier you are”
Those who have craving for more and more end up crying more and more. Minimalistic doesn’t mean you aim smaller. Dreams should always big. Sky is the limit. For the experience not for the material goods. How do you feel when you see more open space? Doesn’t it light up your mood?
