I completely agree that it is very important to choose the right heroes to have in our lives. In an age where we are constantly surrounded by social media that is full of Kim Kardashian's, as a woman, I fear for the young girls growing up in a world where they are constantly being told what is beautiful in the most superficial sense. All this does is hurt their self image and teach them a very messed up set of values. Of course this also applies for men as well who believe they have to be overly masculine, fit and good with the ladies but I can really only speak from the female perspective. The world needs more messages like this one. Heroes should be role models that set good examples and put others first. I hope to witness a shift in culture where being "sexy and rich" is not the criteria required to be a role model but rather morals and values. Thank you for the great post!
